Veteran playmaker Chanathip Songkrasin believes the upcoming season will be one of the most challenging for Thai League 1 club BG Pathum United.
As Pathum are finalising their preparations for the new season, the Thailand midfielder said the Rabbits have been training for more than two months with several new players coming in.
"This year the team have a more intense training programme. We have two sessions each day, in the morning and in the evening. We hope to have a strong season this year," said Chanathip.
"We did not meet our target last season. This year we have many new players at the club, therefore my job is to make everyone gel so that we can do better this year.
"This season, Pathum will play for five trophies and personally, I want to win at least one title. If possible, I want to win every trophy that I play for.
"As for the league title, it will be difficult. Each team has a quota of seven foreign players and it should be a challenging season for Thai players as well," he added.
Chanathip also pointed out that champions Buriram United are among the title favourites again this season.

"Buriram United have always been strong because they have the best foreign players. Bangkok United, Port, Ratchaburi, Muang Thong United, Chonburi are also good teams and we cannot underestimate Kanchanaburi Power because they have many good players," he added.
Pathum will start the new season with an away match at PT Prachuap on Aug 16.
There will be a Thai League charity match between Uthai Thani and Chonburi, which will kick off at 6pm at True BG Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on AIS Play.
Windfall for clubs
The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) is set to pay Thai League 1 and 2 clubs 25 percent of their due financial support totalling 78 million baht, before the start of the new season next week.
Each Thai League 1 club will receive 15 million baht while T2 sides will pocket four million baht each per season.
All 16 T1 clubs will receive 3.75 million baht (60 million baht in total) while 18 T2 clubs will receive one million baht each (18 million baht in total) by next week.
Meanwhile, Thai League 3 clubs will receive their first payment in early September, with the new season starting on Sept 13.
Special edition shirt
A "Thai people love Thai football" special edition shirt is on sale as part of a campaign by the FAT to raise money amid its major financial crisis.
In collaboration with Warrix, a specially designed shirt was unveiled during the Thai League launch event on Wednesday.
The shirt is priced at 350 baht and fans can purchase it online at: https://www.warrix.co.th/fa/.
The campaign is an opportunity for fans to participate in the development of Thai football. The FAT is facing a financial crisis and is in massive debt after losing the Siam Sport Syndicate case earlier this year.
