ONE Championship: Stamp Fairtex returns, Superlek vs Yuki Yoza booked for ONE 173
ONE Championship’s return to Tokyo just got even bigger.
Superlek Kiatmuu9 and Yuki Yoza will face off in a bantamweight kickboxing bout at ONE 173, while Stamp Fairtex makes her long-awaited return from injury in a kickboxing clash with Kana Morimoto.
The November 16 card at Ariake Arena already features four title fights – and now boasts even more star power.
Superlek – the reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing champion – had been in the running to face Yoza alongside bantamweight king Jonathan Haggerty.
But Haggerty now appears set for a Muay Thai title showdown with bantamweight champion Nabil Anane, possibly on the same Tokyo card, as he aims to reclaim his two-sport supremacy. The fight has not been officially announced, though ONE chairman Chatri Sityodtong hinted it was signed with a cryptic social media post last week.
Yoza, the former K-1 champion, has made a perfect start to life in ONE with back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Elbrus Osmanov and former champion Petchtanong Petchfergus – both at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.
Now, the 27-year-old finally gets the chance to compete on home soil – and is targeting redemption for Japan after Superlek defeated teammate Takeru Segawa by decision in their flyweight title bout at ONE 165 in January 2024.
“I always wanted to fight Superlek – he is one of ONE’s pound-for-pound best,” Yoza wrote on social media. “I will get revenge for Japan’s striking community. I will definitely win!”
Stamp, meanwhile, steps back into the spotlight after relinquishing her ONE atomweight MMA world title.
The 27-year-old was forced to withdraw from a unification bout with former interim champ Denice Zamboanga – originally scheduled to take place this week in Denver – after a setback in her recovery from knee surgery.
The event was subsequently moved to June 2026, with ONE Fight Night 34 taking its August 1 slot on the schedule this week in Bangkok.
Stamp now meets Kana in a kickboxing bout, and should she win, is expected to issue a challenge to the winner of the title fight between newly-elevated champ Zamboanga and Japan’s Ayaka Miura later in the night.
A featherweight kickboxing title unification bout between Superbon and interim champion Masaaki Noiri headlines the card; Anatoly Malykhin will challenge “Reug Reug” Oumar Kane for the heavyweight MMA title in the co-main.
In another major bout, strawweight king Joshua Pacio will attempt to become a two-division champion when he takes on flyweight MMA champ Yuya Wakamatsu – who won the belt on home turf at ONE 172 in March.
