Cambodia's billiards icon Sruong Pheavy has once again elevated the nation's prominence by securing another triumph in her preferred two-cushion carom event. This accomplishment unfolded during the February 11 installment of the 2024 Ladies Professional Billiards Association Championship in South Korea.

The competition featured 32 exceptional billiards contenders, with Cambodia's top-ranked player persistently advancing to the final. In the championship clash, Pheavy clinched her seventh victory of the tour.

Facing off against South Korean opponent Jung-suk Lim, Pheavy initially found herself trailing 5-0 in the early frames. Undeterred, she maintained her composure and orchestrated a remarkable comeback, surging to a commanding 9-5 lead. The concluding frame saw Pheavy securing two crucial points, while Lim managed only a solitary point.

The match culminated with an 11-6 scoreline in favor of Pheavy, solidifying her status as the champion.

The Cambodian billiards representative, also a medalist at the 2023 SEA Games, expressed her elation at the triumph, marking her seventh victory in the LPBA Championship.

Taking to social media, Pheavy shared her sentiments, acknowledging the physical toll of the competition. She mentioned enduring body aches and headaches, emphasizing the exhaustive effort and meticulous strategy employed for this win.
